?
ORCID stands for Open Researcher & Contributor ID.
ORCID is a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes you from every other researcher. It addresses the name ambiguity problem that arises from name change, cultural differences in name order, and inconsistent use of first name abbreviations and different writing systems.
ORCID is a URI (unique resource identifier) with a 16-digit number that is compatible with the ISO Standard (ISO 27729)
