UN Water
UN-Water is not an organization or an agency. It is the United Nations coordination mechanism for all water-related issues. UN-Water activities and programmes are therefore implemented by its members, with the support of its partners.
UN-Water has four specific programmes, each with its own workplan, budget and an executing agency coordinating the implementation.
The World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP)
The UN-Water Decade Programme on Capacity Development (UNW-DPC)
The UN-Water Decade Programme on Advocacy and Communication (UNW-DPAC)
The World Health Organization (WHO)/ United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Joint Monitoring Programme on Water Supply and Sanitation (JMP)
